The SchoolPrism™ process includes four surveys, one for each of the four stakeholder groups - parents, staff, students and the community. Why? Because school effectiveness depends on collaboration among all of the groups. For school improvement, each group provides important information on district performance.
SchoolPrism™ Surveys are intended to:
Supplement other data available to schools, such as State Report Cards and proficiency test scores.
Directly support a systematic improvement planning process.
SchoolPrism™ Surveys are statistically valid and reliable tools. They allow comparisons to be made between schools and over time. This is because the surveys act as a "ruler" for measuring how stakeholders view quality in their schools. The ruler measures specifically defined quality criteria (valid), and measures them in the same way each time it is used (reliable).
